Losing my music book and the events that followed

It felt like just a regular day, to wake up early, get ready for school, leave and then come back. After that, going to music class for my everyday Hindustani music practice. Just another day when my teacher told me to come a little late, for a music competition. That surprised me a little, because I go to a school which has no competition in it. This seemed exciting though, and I quickly prepared what to sing, and practiced the whole thing once. I left, with my music books swinging from side to side in my bag. I wasn't nervous. It felt like just another one of those pleasant days, when I'd go and sit down with all my friends, and sing together. I went to my room, and revised all my prepared raagas, and put my bag, upon a shelf, with my music classmate. The judges arrived, and my friend sang her raagas confidently and answered all the judge's questions quickly. She left when it was my turn, and she climbed onto the bench to retrieve her music bag very happily.
I finished my singing, and told my sister to get my bag for me. Soon, my sister returned home as well, but she didn't have my book. I got a little worried, but she told me that it would be there the following day. It wasn't. My teacher checked all over the school, with no luck. I felt terrible. I felt as though a monster had come and bitten off a part of me. My teacher told me to come over the following day in the morning, and ask the children of the class we sang in, whether one of them had taken my bag. My sister volunteered to go, because I had to go for school. She did. The day seemed to rush past. I came home from school, and my mother opened the door. "Was it there?" I asked. "Did she find my bag?" My mother smiled, and opened the door completely. Sitting on the sofa, was none other than, my music bag, not one book missing from it.
